So far, today, it's been the new Dark Blue Pilot Decimo, stub nib, with Iroshizuku Yamabudo.  Really liking the stub -- and it *sings* (I had read discussions in the past about whether that was good or bad, but had never actually had a nib that did that before).  Well, at least it was singing on the paper in my Miquelrius journal this morning.

And then later, I had to get some stuff in the mail and for that it was the Poseidon Pearl Noodler's Konrad, flex nib, with some (highly) diluted Noodler's Heart of Darkness.  After refilling the pen with distilled water twice now, it's a fairly dark grey (and I'm hoping that it still has the water resistance full-strength HoD is, given that the weather tomorrow and Christmas Day is supposed to be pretty unpleasant (one is a bill that had to be paid, and the others were sympathy cards (one to a friend who's dad died of COVID-19, and the other to the widow of another friend, whose husband died of cancer last week).  The other ink in current rotation that's pretty water resistant/waterproof is Noodle's Baltimore Canyon -- which seemed a little too vibrant for condolences...).

A blue varsity, until I can go back to work and get caught up on Bill's, and then save up for a better pen. Still consistantly surprised at how nice this cheap little disposable pen is!

I am the tarot reading, bookworm, whiskey drinking, witchcraft practicing, old fashioned writing, aunt Beasty in my family and I love it. Tarot readings for sale or trade, especially ink as I've lost all of my pen stuff from a bad burglary last year. And I need penpals! Anyone interested, please PM me!

I wrote a few pages of illegible notes with my Namiki Urushi #20 in M during a meeting. On Rhodia A4 graph paper. Translating that data to information will follow tomorrow. On Tomoe River paper.

I used to write my notes in longhand during meetings and then render it all at a later time using a Word Processor. And then one day my raw, handwritten notes were requested so that they could be copied and presented in a legal case. Well, The folks preparing the case returned them to me saying that they couldn't possibly submit that writing to the arbitrator or judge or whatever we were submitting them to as ancillary proof of what had been agreed to in a meeting. After that I resurrected my old skill set with the block lettering I'd learned in the Signal corps 🤣. As a result of that little adjustment my subsequent notes were quite legible.

On a sacred quest for the perfect blue ink mixture!

For the last monthish I’ve been using my Pilot CH 912 PO with Sei Boku (love it!) and my Sailor PG Realo Z first with Sailor Manyo Haha and now Sailor 143. Huge fan of these multi-shading inks. Currently have my Pelikan M600 inked with Diamine Turquoise as well, which was an unexpectedly lovely colour.

Today it's been:

1. French re-issue Parker Vector (purple, M nib) -- KWZI IG Violet #2.

2. TWSBI 580-AL (pink, F nib) -- Noodler's Baltimore Canyon Blue.

3. Lamy al-Star, (Vibrant Pink, 1.1 mm nib) -- Robert Oster Shake and Shimmer No Fixed Address.

The Robert Oster ink is a new one for me; I like that it's an interesting pinkish red with blue shimmer particles that turn some of the strokes a lavender purple -- but I don't like how cloggy the shimmer particles are (much worse than some other shimmer-type inks).

So this one is going to get chalked up as a "maybe..." ink for me.

I had a long letter to write today so I broke out my Churchman's Prescriptor. It has an excellent broad italic nib that in fact sings. It writes smoothly on a variety of papers, and always has KWZ IG Blue #5 in it. It's not a small pen, it's not light, but I find it very balanced. As with nearly all my pens, I don't post it.

It's my favorite black pen.

That is a BIG beautiful pen!

It's not an expensive pen either. From Mr. Pen in London, I believe it was about 77 dollars and that includes shipping. Beautiful lacquer over brass and an impressive nib.

I love ordering things from the UK and Germany when I have the funds to do it! I am currently back to being a starving college student (2nd time around, I was 20 years younger last time). So, I am buying less accordingly, unfortunately.

A Parker Latitude in my office upstairs, same as this one on ebay, no idea when they ever climbed up to be a £50 pen.  They are nice, for sure, but mine was £10 at a pen show a few years ago and buddy Eric said WTH are you buying that for. I have to say that it writes very well and I would buy it again at £10, perhaps not £50.

I have a downstairs pen, so posh. That is a Jinhao X750, the cap has scratched the section which is, or rather was, painted brass. I have removed the rest of the paint and i think the pen looks better for it.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
