Polished. Section.

I hate them so much.

But the rest of the pen is so good, I tolerate it.

They cost about $12 when you can find them, they pop up on massdrop from time to time, or as a pen/rollerball set on amazon for about $20.

You get a pen and a cartridge (or a pack of cartridges if you get it on massdrop) As for converters, the pen can be kind of picky since it's so thin (see video), but the schmidt K1 fits well.

The pen only comes in M. I find both of mine to write nice and juicy F-M lines, closer to a japanese M than a western. But they're wonderfully smooth and effortless writers, without a whisper of scratchiness or hard starting or skipping. Juicy but not gushing wet, they're very useful in everyday writing.

The body and cap are lacquered brass. I love the white model, it's got a shiny, lovely pearlescent wetness to it.

The clip is phenomenal, with a big sweep to clear any lip of clothing, and they're hinged, with a nice tapered barrel to aid in insertion into pockets. The snap cap is nice and positive without being too firm or too gentle, and mine's shown no signs of getting loose with use. It posts deeply and securely, and is not overly backweighted at all.

It's quite thin and straight in the hand, and long enough to use posted or not. I've noticed no gremlins regarding any tendencies to dry out, and it can go several weeks capped without use, starts right up.

Ink in the video is the new Lamy Bronze. It's a fun orange, but it's not very everyday usable (Monteverde Fireopal is still the only everyday orange I know of) and it ain't bronze. I also don't seem to be getting the shading that so many other people do in the pens I've tried.

Cool video. I like the ink slam and the works box full of converters! Looks like a good writer... have you considered brushing the section? I too am bothered by polished sections... not enough to avoid buying pens that have them, but just enough to waste time fretting about them. I used a rough buffing stick to brush lines into a Jinhao section once with decent results. I'm experimenting with resin coatings now, but if those don't stick my next idea is to try a dremel wire brush finish, or stone wash (throw section in a container with smooth rocks and run through the dryer) or else find a way to engrave rings around the section. And if I really want to get nuts I'll try acid etching or flame blueing sometime. Anything to kill the really slick surface.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
