Acutely, I am waiting for the arrival of a Gifros sterling silver "Gaudi" pen, with an 18ct medium round nib.

I found this local Italian family business through forums, and I was immediately impressed by the craftsmanship and quality of such well-priced instruments. I love metal pens, and sterling silver echos back to my Irish roots, and will help my medical ward rounds with its antiseptic and bactericidal qualities.

In the long term, my (current!) grail pen is Sailor's King of Pen in crimson red/gold urushi ebonite, with a fine 21ct gold nib. Armed with Diamine's Oxblood or Ancient Copper (my two favourite inks), I hope to acquire this combination after becoming a psychiatric consultant or on the completion of my PhD - whichever comes sooner, as I cannot wait much longer!

That is a good looking pen & the first Crocodile I have seen without its namesake clip!

I'm still a noob in FPs so I'm waiting for a Charcoal Safari F nib, a TWSBI GO Smoke, and a Jinhao X750 Silver. Trying to get a good array of brands to test out against my Platinum Plaisir!

Now I'm also waiting on a Metropolitan F and a Pelikan Twist Bronze. You guys are the worst, y'know? :)

I recently purchased the red with black stripes. The F. nib required just a bit of micromesh and some flexing,

and it is now smooth and a real treat to write with. Liked it so much I turned right around to purchase the green

with black stripe. These are pictures of my red one, giving a clearer photo of the clip, cap band and nib.

It has a classy look about it..

I just ordered two ebonite Ranga Model 8s customized to be only 130mm long when capped. One is in Matte Black with gold trim and Bock Broad nib and the other is a Matte Teal eyedropper with gold trim and stock Broad nib. Estimated wait is around a month.

I've always wanted to get more Rangas but they are just too big for me. Really looking forward to trying these shorter versions!

Jumped on the Pilot 823 with FA nib (Amber demonstrator) offer from pensachi yesterday, and glad I did since it sold out really fast. This is a grail pen for me: flexy nib, demonstrator so you can see ink level, ink shut off valve, great looks, big(ish) size.

I wasn't waiting for it in the mail, but I was waiting till I found one in my price range, and there it was at the Atlanta Pen Show for a fair price: a sterling silver Sheaffer Targa 1026, so I pulled the trigger..

Yehmm, if it was available with an EF nib I'd have bought one ages ago. Not that impressed with the F nib on my PenBBS 308 'glass' demonstrator in terms of line width.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

If you have not known yet, I saw an Instagram post from Beini that PENBBS EF nibs will be coming later this year.

Also she hinted a possibility of Broad nibs.

I hope you will not be disapointed with your Cedar. My 267 Cedar looks nothing like the one in the photo? You have to look very close to see any striations, and one side is uniform. :(

Indeed. My credit card is so hot that I just had a call from them to make sure all these transactions are legit. It was probably the European one that set them off...

I ran into something similar a couple of years ago when I had a true splurge: a couple of Pelikan M405s from Rolf Thiel at Missing Pens, through his eBay store. The amount I had just spent. on TWO pens really hit home when I got the call from PayPal, checking to see if the charges were legit (not just the amount -- over $600 US -- but that the money was going to a site in Europe.... I said "Yes -- that's correct. It's a legitimate purchase. Thank you for calling...." And then got off the phone and said "Holy cr@p! I really DID just spend that much money on two pens.... That's a THIRD of my 'once in a lifetime' discretionary budget, isn't it...."

Better service than I got this past week trying to get a straight answer from PayPal about why they were asking for my cellphone # when they already HAVE my landline. Took several phone calls (both of which ended up being callbacks from them due to volume), repeated requests to speak to a supervisor, filling out a survey on their website as to how my experience was, getting a from spoof (at) PayPal about my complaint about a website (no -- except maybe for THEIRS), getting TWO messages (which I had to log into their website to read) and in both cases saying in reply "Why the [expletive deleted] didn't you read what I actually SAID? Oh, and I'm STILL waiting for a callback from a supervisor...." and then FINALLY getting a callback from said supervisor Friday evening.... Where I had to say it all AGAIN.... And no, they're not getting my cellphone number. And I told the supervisor that I want it noted on my account that if anyone ever TRIES to add a cellphone # to my account PayPal knows it's fake. And proof that information is in the file for my account (yeah, I know, not holding my breath on that one -- but a girl can dream...). Oh, and I reiterated YET AGAIN that if there's ever another questionable transaction on my account? They call my landline, which they have on file. And if I'm not home? They'll just have to keep trying till they reach me.

I did forget to mention that if they EVER try to get me to link my PayPal account to my bank account again I'll sue them into bankruptcy.... I have ONE credit card tied to that account. And changed the one that was the one originally linked to it. They get that. Not access to the checking account. EVER....

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
