V7 = HiTecPoint?

Plastics are identical afaik. Haven't tried that ink in any FP; the mess that's leaked from my V7 suggests it's thicker & tackier.

Yep.

I bought one for my daughter. It leaked in her bag. I put the pen in the recycling and flushed out the cartridges for use in my Pilots.

So if I flush out that ink and use my fountain pen ink then all good?

Arghh. Hold fire. I'm pretty sure the ink formulation isn't optimised for fountain pens :(

When I go up and down this list https://pilotpen.com.au/pen-type/refills/page/2/

The only thing that looks like that is the IC-50 cartridges, and while it may be the exact same cartridge, the ink itself might be too viscous for the feed/nib if it's designed for a 0.5 and 0.7 liquid rollerball that may require some pressure rather than capillary action.

Though their cartridges do seem a bit cheaper for a pack than the equivalent fountain pen ink, but if your metro comes with the squeeze converter any small bottle of Pilot ink (such as the blue-black) is very affordable for how much you get (though I understand you want to be able to try out the nib as soon as you get it if you have no FP-specific ink)

Bit intrigued about these HiTechpoints & their ink.

Have had a blue inked up for about 18mths on my desk lying sideways not in pencup. It seems to have filled it's section with ink, some has squirted out near the tip & left a little mess.

Coincidentally have its twin V7 blue & a V5 red bought at the same time; these have been stored away in a plastic box out of sight/light/temperature variations. Looks like they come inked up at the factory? They've only filled about 1/3 of the section with ink.

Pilot's adblurb in their BeGreen campaign says its waterbased.

Got no black so yeah, I succumbed & did some shopping...

I'm wanting to know if the ink can go thru a normal FP... I want to make the Kakuno into something that will tolerate occasional use without drying out months on end. Dries up too fast to suit current kiddy usage pattern.

Have played with the Petit1s, they're pretty good at staying wet but they'll still dry up within 6-9mths. Seems bit faster when refilled with normal FP inks not their proprietary ink.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
