Thank you very much for posting the images and information here.

It's interesting to see such clear photos of the latest release, free from any scratches on the cap.

Your photo post offers perspective on all of the words posted about these pens and inks.

I'm personally interested in the Homer Greek Blue ink.

Thanks Pravda, I like the cap; I like the star with the gold ring around it, and the clip. I’m not sure about the barrel, but it is growing on me. I don’t like the section, looks like a standard 149 poking out as if it was still a prototype. I love the section on my Exupéry which switches from metal to plastic etc. This looks unfinished. This all said, I’m going to have to try it out over the summer :)

Thank you, Pravda, for the pictures! I quite like the black one, particularly the ballpoint.

Thank you, Pravda. Quite an interesting design. It occurred to me that The Homer pen shape has resemblance to some of the pens created by a Swiss pen company, Von Moos.

Finally I can show my horse here. In WE I prefer resin than metal, although the 1581 edition is gorgeous. Unlike recent WEs, the Homer is a single concept design similar to earlier versions. The Homer needs about three turns to screw out, but the horse will always face you when screws in.

Pravda and mjchuang9 - thank you for these photos.

I think the pen looks quite exquisite. As with many others, I had thought the pen was slightly ugly/unusual from some of the earlier leaked photos. However, this is growing on me quite a lot. Is that rose or yellow gold trim? I see that the spec describes it as "champagne" trim.

Gosh, I just cant like this pen no matter how hard I study the lines of the pen looking for something pleasant. It looks awkward.

You and me both. Glad to see the size, but they tapered in right where I NEED the width for a comfortable grip. Plus, it's flat out ugly to my eyes. Pass, pass, and PASS. Ugh.

The first batch of Homer already sold out here in the MB boutique. I am now focusing on 149 nib pens, since there are not skeleton pens that interest me, I decide to order another Homer for OB nib. The Greek blue Homer ink is also very well. :)

In case of previous WEs , members have shared how the pictures dont do justice to the pens seen and held in person. I am wondering if this is a possible case for the Homer.

The girth is identical to 149, there is no problem when holding the pen. The Homer is a little bit heavier than 149 that feels sturdy and even smoother when writing.

Thank you very much for the helpful image of the pen in your hand.

Your comment is very interesting to know.

I love the perspective on the photograph!

I'm so glad that you're enjoying your new pen.

Ah, but shift your fingers back so that your forefinger and adjacent are on the silver band. NOW how does it handle?

I don't need to shift my fingers back, this is the natural position that I hold my pens such as 149. I know someones don't like pens with stepped section, however I don't like the cylindrical barrel like Pelikan M1000 either. That is too boring for me.
