Mont Blanc 149 Rose Gold

I'm considering getting a MB 149 Rose Gold but is concern if MB had solved the "flaking" issue ?

Also I'm looking at F nib and is wondering what's the line width as compared to a MB 146 M nib ?

I have a 146 90th ann, which has rose gold trim and a rose gold nib.

The nib is fact was worked by Dan smith, he actually took it to a grinder...!

Despite this and 2 years of use, I can say my trim looks just like the day i got it.

Be not afraid.

I don't think the quality would be that bad. I got 90th Anni 149 and it's holding up really well,

but if this is really a problem, we should see more complaints about it already (like 1912's problems).

Not to say that it wouldn't flake, but probably just as would other nibs.

The line width of the F will be finer than the M regardless of 149, 146 etc. Also the tip of the nib is not plated in rose gold, so even if it was ground, would not be a problem.

The clip is the most likely to lose plating if used regularly. I would not worry about it and get the pen if you like the look.
