Conklin Victory Issues

As Some of you know, I got a Conklin Victory for my Birthday and I loved it. But now, the nib and the feed seem quite dry-even though I’m writing on Rhodia paper and am using a Diamine Purple Cartridge. I guess my question would be, who should I send the pen to for repair\should I try the brown paper bag trick?

Any help is always appreciated!

Regards,

My Conklin Duragraph had some pretty spectacular baby's bottom. It wrote well and was extremely smooth until I ran through the excess ink that was in the feed.

I spent about an hour with a nail buffer doing away with the baby's bottom and now it's a very reliable writer and I love it. Check with a loupe to see if it has baby's bottom.

Nib replacement is also an option, I think, but I'm not sure what size the Victory uses. If you're not attached to the Conklin nib, replacement is probably cheaper than professional help if you're not comfortable working on it yourself.

I agree with the above.

In my case I flushed the pen to start and I could *see* the baby's bottom.

I've since turned mine into an almost-stub. It's juicy and reliable.
