While i am here waiting for my first Sheaffer. It's just a plain black-silver sheaffer 100. I have never been writing with a Sheaffer so i dont know what to expect

Hi Schaden,

Sheaffer 100 is an excellent writer.But I'd request you to collect a Prelude or a Sagaris . Sheaffer fountain pens are really really nice.In fact my Legacy Heritage(the 1st one from the left in the posted image,the thickest one) is smoother than my Mont Blanc 145.

I had never touched a Sheaffer before so i bought Sheaffer 100 in Matte Black (has not arrived yet) to get a first impression, to find out whether or not i will buy the more expensive ones.

 

From the looks, the matte black version is lovely even though the whole design may look plain. But the more fountain pens i am using, the more i find out that i am looking for a work horse of a pen, which doesnt easily break if my pen falls on the ground (like my Visconti which i baby because i imagine it will break in pieces if it falls in the ground. At the end of the day, it is non sense to me to have an expensive fountain pens only to find out that once they fall, they break)
