International Fountain Pen Day... Friday, November 3Rd

What's happening around "International Fountain Pen Day this year. It's coming up shortly and I, for one, have seen nothing about it mentioned. Did I miss something here on FPN?

 

I know one can find information at http://www.fountainpenday.org/ including what looks like a lot of sponsors (more Pen - Day deals???). It would be nice to hear if anyone is doing something really special or unique this year. Or, if you had a nice experience in the past.

Well, the Ohio Pen show will be held that weekend if that helps.

Kenro (distributors ofAurora, Montegrappa, they had Sheaffer and Omas)is hosting a big event in New York City.

The first couple of years they did it, there were online writing and drawing contests on the FP Day website (I was one of the runner up winners one year, but then the next year didn't make it past the first cut). The grand prize the year I got one of the runner up prizes was a custom bound journal from TM Lee, and the judging was by popular vote. (IIRC correctly, I came in third).

I think it's awesome that the Ohio Pen Show coincides with FP Day this year.
