Just got my latest Levenger catalogue. I was stunned to see an entire page promoting Montblanc Pens. Showed mostly ballpoints and Rollerball. The only Fountain Pen a 149.

Either Levenger is trying to raise their status or .....

I saw that, with prices listed.

Yea, I thought that was interesting as well. Nobody else puts MB prices out there. Wonder if the world is changing.

Levenger used to carry Montblanc in the 90s. There were some great deals to be had! As for the new items all of them have the following disclaimer:

Special offers, discounts and promotions do not apply to this selection.

It may be that the world is changing. While sites like Anderson Pens make you email for a price, Fahrneys has the pricing listed on the site as well as in the catalogs they mail out.

Only certain retailers are allowed to post prices of Montblanc online. You can post prices in print if you have a catalog. This is unlikely to change. Each year, district reps can submit a retailer they wish to be able to post prices online and each year no retailer gets picked. This has been going on for years.

Thanks for the clarification. It seems very odd as MB has pricing listed on their site - what's the harm if all their retail partners do the same????

Something else I've learned here. Always interesting and informative. Thank you for posting it.

I think the philosophy is to engage with the customer. Start a relationship and have a customer for life. They probably also don't want to have to police all of their accounts for someone selling product below MSRP, because some people would do the one penny less than MSRP thing.
