From looking at the mark on the edge of the cap it says 14K G.F. That means gold filled, another term for gold plated. So not 14ct gold.

So it is the same like mine.

The seller will open a bottle of champagne today.

It is P75 Insignia-I with 14k gold filled cap and barrel (with marking as 14k GF). There was the P75 Insignia-II that came with just gold plated cap and barrel but that had no mention about gold plating on cap band.

The grid patterns also differed on the two. The Insignia-I had shallow grids while the insignia-II had sharp/deep grids.

I have NOS 75 Insignia-Is. More than a dozen. Would be willing to sell all for half that price a piece. :)

This is the earliest Flat top model. But it has a replacement nib unit. The tip size on the underside of the feed on the original would have been in numbers such as 63, 64, 65 and 66 etc while on this pen it is F. Not sure about the chrome section band as to whether or not it has the 0 mark. Also, I can't see the grips on the section ending midway or reaching far down to the end of the section.

Something happened with this special auction - it closed with a bit of 65000 Yen - but the price has changed on the closed auction site from 65000 to 1000. You can still see the history of the bids. Seems that the bidder didn't pay.

https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f226212449

Yesterday, the same (type of pen) pen was sold by the same seller for 55000 Yen: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/auction/q169537958

Different bidders.

By the way, if I am not wrong I bought some days ago the same type of pen for 3120 Yen: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e237169360#enlargeimg

(1000 Yen are 7.8 Euro are 9.2 USD)

Well the pen is not gold. It is only gold filled. May be someone, takingk the marking "14k GF" for 14k solid gold, bought the pen and then somehow came to know it was only gold filled and thus cancelled the deal.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
