Help With Refill For Old Yard-O-Led Bp Please

Hullo all.

 

 

 

[EDIT I have just checked: the refill is 80.75mm long - sorry!]

 

I have recently acquired this rather nice solid silver Yard-o-Led ballpoint, which is engraved 1960. I have been unable to find a refill for it. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I am sure you will have done your research already and found that it is an odd size, looks like a type 2 refill but too short at 80.7mm

 

From memory, the refill is fixed in position so would a shorter refill work with a spacer, such as a cut matchstick.

 

This Schmidt refill is 76mm for example,

Cult pens are usually very helpfull, if you tell them what you need it is my experience that they come up trumps.

The Lamy M22 can be extended with its plastic cap to the length of the longer Lamy M16 refill.

Schorten the plastic cap may give you exactly the length you need.

The story so far is that Cult Pens couldn't help. I contacted Yard-o-Led who recommended a Yard-o-Led refill from Pen Heaven. I ordered one of these and it is too long!

 

Now Yard-o-Led have asked me to send them the pen for further evaluation which I shall do. Obviously dimensions are critical - especially the length which is 80.75mm
