The full review can be found here. I'm also still figuring out a better way to make reviews (more comprehensive), and share them (better photos), but I'm sharing these photos now because they are colour-accurate, which I think is the most important part of an ink review.

nb. I got this bottle years ago and I've hardly used it. It was way too green for me then but now the teal-black colour comes off quite well to my eyes. Unusual and visually interesting. Great performance too!

Thanks for the review, quite interesting. We don't see much about the Hero inks here. How much does the ink bleed through onto the verso?

Thanks! The ink has no bleed-through on this paper (or the cheap, printed-by-the-government paper I use for school). It does exhibit show-through though, but at the same amount as all my other inks.

Interesting, this looks exactly like my Hero Dux 402 blue-black when it stays on the pen for a couple days and oxidizes a little. There's definitely a little green in the mix and that's actually what I like about it.

You have great timing. I was just about to look-up what Dux 402 looks like (mentioned on a different thread).

I must say I don't *love* the colour but it is the best green-ish blue-black I've tried so far; the most recent being Skrip Blue-Black and Noodler's Midnight. There's something about the murky, less-saturated presence this bottle brings to the paper that the others don't have. That said, I think it's also pickier with the pen you use it with—that is, the character of the line is not consistent across pens. The much wider (medium-width) dragon pen in the review looks much better to my eye than the pages of notes I did with the Pilot desk pen (EF).

It looks fantastic with a wet Hero 5028 stub nib. 👍

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Another tealish blue-black ink you might consider (if you like that color - and I do) is Noodler's Air-Corp Blue-Black. Very similar to the Hero Dux ink and also with a Chinese motif (but KMT, not PRC).

I have both and love them both. Hero Dux is much easier to clean out of a pen, but not as interesting as ACBB.
