Using a Kanwrite Legacy Black Ebonite and a Sulekha Damodar today!

Damodar looks like Camlin SD limited edition except the cap is plain in SD. It is a nice pen.

KW Legacy is a wonderful pen to write all day. I got the Amber Crush. The size and weight is perfect for me and of course the superb nib and the huge converter.

Regards

I feel very fortunate to have this pen in my little collection. And it's always a joy to write with this beautiful nib made by Late Shri. Ramanamurthyji

A couple of Jumbos for me this week - Kanwrite Mammoth (OB nib) and a PLP Jumbo (OB ground Wingsung 40mm nib with regular 6mm ebonite feed, friction fit)

Of all the ebonites I have come across, my favorite is this green and yellow ripple with the random black specs. I'm so glad it is still available and that I acquired a few pens in this particular ebonite over the last couple of years including the PLP Jumbo.

Kanwrite also offers a Mammoth "X" version for those unfamiliar with the Kanwrite Mammoth.

Mammoth X - Kanwrite Fountain Pen & Nibs (kanpurwriters.com)

I thought about ordering one but decided I would be in over my head with their #9 Jumbo nib, as my #6 nibs are in my current comfort zone and readily available.

Thanks for the info, I prefer the taper in the old version to be honest, and the cap design does not bother me. Unless X has made some improvement in the nib itself? The thing that I would prefer, is if the nib is set shallow. Right now, the part of the nib outside the pen is ~29mm, I would prefer ~35mm, or if they want to be like the Emperor then ~32mm.

Currently inked: Woodex 39 (old design)

I find this old Woodex 39 more comfortable than their newer 39 model, which has a slightly-hourglass style section design. While that pen barely gets used, this one I use a lot. It's a very good eyedropper pen IMO 👍

My favourite model along with the 63 among woodex. I like the girth. I have a Deccan mp and also two hour glass shaped 39s. I find the Deccan a bit more comfortable. But it's a bit precious so I use the 39s more often

I love this clip more than their new clips

Even I have rarely used my Deccan MPs so far. Should use them more.

And I agree about the clip. I like it more than their current offerings.

Excellent choice, I love the look of the old model, the cap and all. The hourglass shape fits my hand and writing style better, but I dont like the way it looks ;)

Click, ASA Azadi, Ranga Abhimanyu and KanWrite. I always have 3 -4 pens on my table every 1-2 months rolling :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
