Stormtroopers

I have recently become enamored with the black clip white pen look of the famous "Stormtrooper" Pelikan M100. What other pens have white bodies and black clips?

There is a Cross Townsend Stormtrooper fountain pen.

I would have thought Stormtroopers would use biros, as they have no finesse and can't hit a barn door.

Pelikan Pelikano models came in white with black nibs in 1988, 1989, and 1996 that I can tell. This one is my StormCadet from 1989 with the M100 StormTrooper.

Or something like that.

BUT . . . having seen Luke and company, get away without major loss of life, in the MANY fire fights, backs up YOUR statement.

There's a white Pelikano on ebay as we speak. Search "pelikano white", 2 days left on auction.

I see two white/black Pelikan M100's on Ebay now - one of which claims to be never inked. Sadly they want quite a bit over list price for the pen when it was new which takes me out of the running. It is a cool looking pen.

That's the Jiffie, I believe - the model between the JIF and the JIF 2. I have 3 of them and am constantly on the look-out for more.

Thanks. It was a stationery shop purchase - no name or packaging. Good to be able to put a name to it.

I also have a black one with a yellow clip and a disintegrated section. (Apparently not designed to withstand years of bottle filling.)

^^ catbert - I forgot to say "That pen is AWESOME!!!".

My three are black with orange clip, black with sky blue clip and dark blurple with pink clip. The blue one's nib is gold-colored, rather than the plain steel.

Anybody have a lead on where to grab one of those old white Pekikanos? That's a pretty little pen.

The one white P450 that was on ebay seems to have sold as it's no longer listed. You might check there a couple times a week - just search "pelikano", there's usually only 3 pages of them to wade through and iirc I've seen white ones on occasion. (I have 2 pinks and a blue, myself.)

The white M100 is still sitting @ $61, 1d6h left now.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
