I just bought some of this online, so it is not sold out nor is it LE. It may be out of stock from time to time. I found it on Rakuten. Don't know if they ship overseas. Did not remenber seeing it on the Sailor ink thread.

I've just used up the last of my old Monteverde Blue Black and it looks very similar to me.

I wonder if the new Monteverde Blue Black looks the same. The swab on the Anderson Pens Ink Tool isn't very encouraging, but I'm not sure how accurately it represents the new color. The swab at Goulet Pens looks more like this.

The Goulet swab of the new Monteverde ink looks very attractive, maybe even with a hint of sheen.
