Signum Nova Review

I was planning to write a review of my now 3 week old Signum Nova. However, I loaned it to a friend of mine and he reviewed it on his blog.

I certainly could not do a better review, so I'm posting it here.

What i can do, is tell you that I like the pen so well that i have ordered 2 more Signum pens with 18k nibs. Another Nova with a F nib and a Carene with a M nib.

I only have one Signum pen, a Orione, I believe. It is a beautiful "golden" colored resin, piston filler with a very forgiving & pleasant nib, despite being marked as a "M" only on the side of the cap band. It was purchased from Chatterley Pens ,offered as NOS & has remained a happy experience since purchase. I probably don't use it as much as other pens because of the piston filler's mechanism which requires more maintenance between different fills of ink. It is filled @ the moment with the Indian made, Krishna's Gold Rush ink & I was happy to bring it back into rotation. I just have never seen very many Signum pens offered for sale.

Using a Signum Orione Red Fine (steel nib). Nice dry writer, not a gusher like the Visconti Arc beside it. Does not have problems with the inks I fill it with. Wrote right out of the box no tuning required.

 

Not easy to find the pen in North America (Canada for darn sure), under rated writer. Would purchase another no hesitations.
