Montblanc Bohème Chart

Recommended Posts

This is my small contribution to an object that fascinates me from the first day I saw it.

I want to share this chart of all Montblanc Bohème models launched until today.

I included "Noir et noir" and "Rouge et noir" models, which are almost identical to the Bohème but whose names were changed because of copyright issues.

The hardest part of the work was finding the years when each model has been produced, in fact I could not complete the chart in that sense.

I think that companies should put historical information about all their models on their websites, but for some unknown reason they do not.

I see a lot of times questions about Bohème models, if one model in particular did ever exist or not, and so on. I hope this chart can clarify some doubts.

If you find any mistakes, do not hesitate to let me know.

Have a good day,

leftyjo

What a great contribution! Well done on putting this together.

Thank you so much for this, great work.

I love the Boheme and have ended up with 11 of them ..... Didn't know about the Purple though, would love one of those!

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Thanks for your comments. It takes me a lot of time to find all the information.

The purple is a mistery for me. I saw it only a few times on eBay and I'm sure it was an original MB. But I never saw one in real life and there is no information online about that pen.

Outstanding work, not much of a Boheme collector myself (a little rare to find in my area) but it's a fascinating pen, no doubt.

Thank you very much for this.

Aha! So .... anyone ever seen/owned a purple Boheme?

WOW!!! Nice work! Boheme's are one of my Favorites. This chart just adds more regrets to my life, because I almost bought a few of these, byt never did.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
