Hi.

Yes. Have bought a 146 legrande fountain pen from him and matching ballpoint, sometime last year. Came well packaged and in pristine condition. Delivery was fast as well, 48 hours max If I remember correctly. I was quite impressed.

Cannot comment on communication as none was needed. Saw the product, bought it, got delivered quick, worked perfectly. Nothing else to say really.

Hi,

I have had an ok (not the best) experience with him. The warranty booklet for the pen was not stamped (despite confirming pre-purchase). He did later send me a stamped warranty booklet with only the pen name (no serial number). This has left some doubts in my mind on his operating model. (I.e. Does he have a series of warranty books (easily available on eBay again) and a "pen shop' (UK chain) stamp that he uses at will?, How do all his products have a pen shop stamp on the booklet - does he have an affliation with them or was he an ex-employee?)

As 'Diver' mentioned in his previous post, the packaging was pristine and product description was accurate. I did communicate with him and he was quite prompt.

Please be mindful that this is a personal one-off experience and I would not want to generalise. He does have a great collection that

I think his feedback shows how trustworthy a seller he is. I have never bought anything from him, but I wouldn't have a problem doing so. :)

So far as Montblanc warranty booklets go, I wouldn't have a problem with them being stamped or not. If he's anything like me he probably has several boxes and booklets for different Montblanc pens. Many are never stamped, and of those that are, many don't have full details of the pen. I have several boxes in a wardrobe since I don't keep most of my Montblanc pens in their original boxes. So if I sold one of my Montblanc pens, I would just pick out a box almost at random that would be very likely to have a blank booklet with it, unless I happened to know that I had a specific booklet to go with a particular pen. :D

I would seriously doubt that any reputable seller would have a Montblanc Boutique, or a UK Pen Shop stamp made, then fraudulently stamp booklets with it 'at will.' Nor can all of his products have a pen shop stamp on the booklet, since the first booklet received by the above buyer was not stamped.

Hi

I have just noticed this forum about Dylan* Stephen the eBay seller and as this seller is myself would like to set the record straight here as newbie420 has cast some serious accusation about my integrity and honesty.

I sell many montblanc items and I can confirm all my pens are 100% genuine as my feedback is 100% and that is not a easy achievement on eBay .

The suggestion that I stamp my own warranty booklets is absurd and indeed fraud, I have some that are stamped and some that are not stamped , normally my listing for the pen in question will state if the pen comes with a warranty card and if in date I will advertise this as it is true to that pen .

If not in date so over two years in age I will normally mention this also.

I have no affiliation with montblanc or the pen shop I have never worked for either in fact I'm a fireman when not selling pens and have been for several years .

Newbie420 your accusations are unfounded , I can't remember what item you bought from me but if the service and item were not as described you should of returned it .

I offer returns if any issues however I am human and do occasionally make the odd mistake .

Thank you Chrissy for your supporting kind words you can clearly see that a eBay seller with over 3500 good feedback is clearly a good and honest seller .

I do try very hard to provide a good service with genuine montblanc items at a nicer price than the stores .

Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. It's always nice to get to chat with folk selling fountain pens, particularly old smoke eaters..

If I'm not very much mistaken, I'm in the position of having bought a pen from this seller in the past, absolutely no problems at all with the pen or the transaction, and also him having bought a couple of pens from me, again, no issues at all.

Hello Stephen and welcome to FPN. :W2FPN:

I've looked at your ebay listings many times, and there are some pens I wish I had bought, but missed. A beautiful Montblanc 146R springs to mind immediately.

Hi

Thanks for the warm welcome Chrissy, I only joined as I googled my seller name and noticed I was famous lol , no seriously some nice comments but a one not so complementary so I decided I needed to join and set the record straight .

I'm sure I will have another 146R in the near future I'm always listing new items.

Hope to speak soon

Kind regards

Steve

@ Steve, a warm welcome to FPN. From a happy customer at that as well. The pens I sourced from your good self are in daily use and last month accompanied me on a business trip to Japan. First time I have flown with a fully loaded fountain pen... No leaks, no drama. Spot on. I also looked at a pen boutique whilst there and drooled over some Nakayas, but thats another story.

Welcome and enjoy the forums!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
