I also bought Rikyu cha. I've done two comparison chroma tests of P&M Cigar and Rikyu cha, and can see virtually no difference between the two chromas. :)

UK distributor? Do you mind sharing who? Can't find it on the usual suspects: The Writing Desk, Pure Pens, or Cult Pens.

Sorry no. I bought from Voice on Rakuten while I was on holiday in the US.

He will send to UK though and I suggest you could ask him to declare the value in GB£... because currently that might be worth your while.

Anderson pens has it! I bought my bottle from there! After trying a sample a year ago I'll finally have a bottle!

(I'm excited, can you tell? :))

EDIT: Not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer!

Give it a few weeks and it should be generally available. At the DC show, Sailor said it would be available by mid-late October.

Thanks for calming my anxiety. I'll be patient . . .

Both of you have cigar, right? Have fun with that until this releases. :)

I don't have Cigar. It's above my price level. I have less than 1ml left out of a sample. Since my Rikyu cha looks the same I may as well tip it into my bottle before it evaporates.

I was asking Tas and Andy. I know that you don't have cigar.

As for the sample that is left, use a syringe to put it in a cartridge or a converter which can hold 1ml. Pilot con-70 has a capacity of 1.1ml if you have a pen with that convertor.

Arrived today.

Mine did as well. Absolutely perfect. Anderson Pens did a great job with shipping and it arrived in one piece. The color is perfect.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
