New Parker Jotter Models 2016

The Jotter in my photo on the left side, has no clip at all, I think it might have left the factory like that, as the metal that would hold the clip on has not been 'formed' over. Don't know if that's unusual.

Parker made clipless "Lady" Jotters in various finishes and colors. See a picture with a couple of them in Post #8 here:

Hi, I think this Jotter is just an ordinary one that missed out on it's clip.

The metal is there which would have been rolled over the clip, but I can only guess that it missed out on that stage of production.

I can't see how the clip could have fallen off!

Usually the clip falls off on the pre-1983 Jotters. In 1983 they re-vamped the Jotter (plastic thick threads), and goofy shaped point protector. Post 1983 Jotters have the clip spot welded onto the pen. I believe prior they were push fit.

Hi, From all the above comments, it appears that my (1980s) Jotter did have a clip which has fallen off at a some point.

So it has lost 2 parts, the clip and a trim part that would have been above the clip to hold it on.

I do have a cap with clip from another broken Jotter, so I will swap the clip over, possibly fix it on with a thin layer of epoxy.

This is the only Jotter I've owned where this has happened.

The Parker 100 has a spring loaded clip, and I believe the Profile did too although I've never had one to say definitively.

Thanks Hood, for expanding my Parker nerdery into new territory!

I'd never even heard of the 105 and am now reading up on it (strange looking beast!). I wonder if that clip was similar to certain Sheaffers, where the spring action was really the cap itself flexing at the H shaped cutout around which the clip tabs were bent, rather than employing a separate spring?

It does look like the kind of clip that's attached like that, but these are pretty solidly made and there is definitely rotation happening when you pull the clip up, which hopefully shows in these pictures.

If nothing else, you might pick out the slight tide mark rising away from the cap in the second shot - must remember to lift the clip next time I'm cleaning this one!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
