Not a fan of the new clip. But there are some interesting finishes, might be tempted to buy one if they cost no more then £15-20 and are made in France.

Many thanks for flagging this, it would have certainly passed me by. The chiselled pinstripe (if it has enough depth to the line pattern for finger grip) looks interesting.

Interesting. I'm not fond of the 45 style arrow. I kinda like this new one. Maybe a stainless w/diagonal pattern in my future.

I like the new clip, it looks inspired by the Parker Mixy. Otherwise, I have the same position as the Blue Knight.

I will look for it at Staples.

That seems to be the new arrow for the whole lineup ... Here is a new 2016 Sonnet Cisele:

And a comparison shot between the 2007-2015 model and the new 2016 model. I own both the 2003 and 2014 of the Cisele, might just buy the new one when available in North America.

It doesn't really look like many other Parker arrows from days gone by. I wonder if straying away this far from the original clip could be there undoing the conventional arrow is probably the most recognizable pen trademark out there.

Not really a fan of the changes on the Sonnet either. I always felt the Sonnet was one of those design that was close to perfection as was.

I agree, the new arrow clip is too different from nearly three decades of the iconic arrow clip. When I first saw the new Sonnet design, I actually thought it was a knock-off, until I found it on the Parker Japan site. I am not sure why they are changing the design of the clip so drastically. I am also not a fan of the new nib without the Parker logo.

Sonnet design is basically as close to the ideal pen design as it gets, albeit a little larger would be nice :)

On a side note, the new section/grip colour change from black to gold makes the Cisele appear more feminine than the older design.

Hi all,

been trying to find more about these new jotters. Nobody seems to be stocking them yet.

Does anybody know when they are available.

Thanks

Does anyone know how durable the new colored Jotters are? That is, the red and blue ones.. how durable is the red chrome? I know they came out with some colored metal bodied Jotter awhile back for their anniversary.. but never heard of anyone using one.

I used the 125th anniversary edition, they where durable.

Just received all the 10 2016 models, they look great and seem to be the as good as the jotter we know.

I'm happy to have them and use them! Can't say anything about durability yet!

rantmode on.

Good GOD, why is the Parker site so HIDEOUSLY awkward to use? How come they haven't updated their youtube channel for two years? Why is their photography so dependably cráp? Why is the largest picture of the new model range a measly 180 pixels across? Why is EVERY Jotter pictured against a background of the SAME COLOUR? Red against red, grey against grey, etc?

rantmode off.

Answer to all of these questions can be summed up in one brand name: Newell Brands Inc.

I started collecting Jotters a few months ago and have been bewildered by the dizzying array of colors available. Not wild about the new clip or, for that matter, many of the finishes, but I'll probably still pick up a few to add to the collection.

Please see my current classifieds!

The new Sonnet is reminiscent of the Frontier. I don't care for the clip either.

I think the Parker collections are looking more like Chinese pens.

I'm sticking with my 51s.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
