Pilot Precise V5 Rt Retractable Roller Ball?

Recommended Posts

Here at the office, I have a gal asking me to order some Pilot Precise V5 RT pens. She tried one when a trucker brought in a delivery. She said it was nice, durable and so smooth to write with.

Has anyone used one of these? What do you think? Are they good for office/warehouse settings?

Thanks!

Here's a capped version I found in the street.

It has the needle point tip, which writes extremely consistantly in width, the ink is thin and flowing, and can be seen through an ink window in the barrel. 'Precise' is a very good description of how it writes.

They're great pens, although I prefer the V7 version, which writes slightly wider.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll get a box for us to try and go from there. It sounds like a great, reliable pen.

I agree, I love them. My favorites were the BOLD, but they are difficult to find.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

They're excellent pens. They were my go-to pens for several years before I started experimenting with fountain pens.

I too prefer the v7 but I feel when I'm using a cheaper paper it tends to have a greater bleed than the v5

I've used the non-retractable V5s for years and love the way they write smoothly. I also enjoy the retractable ones, since they have a nice grip section to hold onto but other than that have the same characteristics.

The only downside for me was that while I can run into any office store and buy a box of the standard V5 in blue, I could only find the RT in blue online (at least in my area).

If you can find the bolds, you will be IN LOVE.
