Montblanc Collection Box

I use the same collection box, fantastic for storing some of the collection. Would be great if it came in a three or four drawer version:

I was wondering if a Heritage 1914 would fit inside the box.... Seems I found my answer... Thankfully the price is way up there to assist with temptation... But yet another excuse gone. I just handled one at the boutique when I picked up my collection box this weekend... Very nice pen... Silly big, but nice.

Congrats on a beautiful collection and some ultra special pens!

Here is a quote I once spotted on here which must echo some of us more 'economical with the truth' members.....

"one of my biggest fears is that when I die my wife will sell my pens for the prices I told her I have paid for them"

oh the horror of facing the facts !!!!!

LOL! This is the funniest thing I've heard in a while...... I must confess this thought has crossed my mind... I guess I'm in the "economical with the truth FPN subgroup"! Glad there's others out there!!!

Haven't posted in awhile I received the the box as a Christmas gift. For higher resolution pictures you can view the ablum here: https://imgur.com/a/tm5vH.
Scroll to the bottom for pics of the collection, which started in Dec. 2014. Note, I left my StarWalker Mystery Black FP in my office desk so it's not included in the pictures.
My wife really wants me to get the Luciano Pavarotti Limited Edition 98, but we'll see. I tend to like to buy the pens sealed and there are none available for this pen.

Unless I'm mistaken I believe it is the Alexander von Humboldt pen. Like the L'Aubrac it is made of Grenadillo (aka african blackwood) (Dalbergia Melanoxylon).

Kindest regards

As mentioned it's the Alexander Von Humboldt. Still one of my favourites.

Thanks. I'm sure there are some very nice collections in Aus

Just got an email from La Couronne du Comte that they are shipping my Collection Box along with my Heritage 1914 with OBB nib. Should be here in about a week.

This purchase required a bit more rationalization than usual. ;)

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

speaking of collectors boxes... I will have you all know. I at one time owned the box in the attached auction. Admittedly, I overpaid for it buying at the bonhams auction, getting carried away. I never used the box and never liked it. The 20 pen collectors box, as being discussed in this thread is SO much better.

This box below doesnt fit the bigger pens, and I do not even think it fit comfortably my 146 doue and certainly not my Citrine or Silver Guilloche 146, the newer ones are a little bigger.

Also when opening this box, I was always afrain pens were going to fall out. Seems like two are on ebay at the moment, which is strange b/c they are somewhat rare, but avoid, the box sucks and you can hardly even see the mont blanc logo on the top, bad style design.

I very much like how subtle and understated the logo is on the older box.

For those in the UK Wheelers Luxury Gifts sell these collector boxes, and when I spoke to them on the phone, they said they had a few in stock :) .

I bought myself one as my Christmas present last week when they had their 20% discount days for Black Friday

I can honestly say I have never seen such great packaging from anywhere. It came in a huge carton full of polystyrene peanuts. The collectors box was in it's cream box, that was inside an outer cardboard box, that was perfectly centred inside this huge carton.

Full marks to Wheelers from me.

Indeed. :D Before I bought my collector box, I had my inked pens in a Visconti 12 pen case plus a Visconti 6 pen case. :) Yes I know I had too many inked pens. My Lamy 'ink review' pens lived in a 'pen pot.' -_- After the delivery of my Montblanc collector box, my Visconti 12 pen case now contains my Lamy pens plus others that I write ink reviews with.

My Mb box contains my Mb, Omas, Pelikan and Aurora pens whether they are inked or not. My OH thinks I'm mad for not including my Mb BP & RB pens in my collector case instead.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
