Dunhill Sidecar Pencil?

I have been watching one of these for a while now in a local shop window. I asked what their best price was today and they came back with £80. It's used but comes with the box and papers. It's the silver coloured alligator pattern.

 

Is it worth it? I don't have any pencils and rather fancy it but not sure on what they might be worth.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know this particular pencil, but I have one Dunhill FP.

It's a bit posh brand. They are in the Montblanc stable.

 

It depends what you are looking for in a pencil.

 

GBP80 is a lot of money for "just a pencil for those times you need one" In that case there are good pencils that are a lot cheaper.

 

But if you actually want that bit of posh I think it's a nice choice. I can't comment on the technical details.

Dunhill makes nice writing instruments. I have the Dunhill Sidecar Red Resin Ballpoint pen, Pencil, and Rollerball pen. 80 GBP is a low price for a Dunhill Sidecar pencil. I paid more than that for my Dunhill Sidecar Red Resin pencil when I bought it new directly from the Dunhill store in New York. So, if you like then pencil then this is the time to buy it as it will not be available at 80 GBP for for very long.
