Sailor 1911 S21 Vs. Sailor 1911 Promenade

I'm trying to understand the difference between the pens. From what I can see, there are some dimensions differences, there's no gold plating on the nibs, and different colors. But I can't find any real information on the Promenade's performance.

Does anyone know if :

1) The nibs on the Promenade are interchangeable with the other 1911 S pens?

2) Is there any difference between the writing experience of the pens?

Thanks

Promenade a 100 USD pen that is essentially stuck in Japan (hence the reason why you see VERY LITTLE TO NO INFORMATION OF IT)

(it's competitors are Custom 74 and 3776 Century)

14KT VS 21KT nib?

or is this the 1911 Slim? (14KT)

as Sailor says each of their nibs has a personality... literally speaking each nib even if the same nib grade will be different (not sure if shoddy QC or the tipping material is a hit or miss)

Sections should be relatively be the same but Promenade sports some difference (section color the most striking)

the 21kt from the standard seems to be like a "number 5" nib so it should fit the Promenade if you so wish

may this thread guide you

Thanks. I'm trying to decide between getting the 14K or the 21K 1911 with an EF nib.

I have a question re the promenade: is it a permanent part of Sailor's line-up or a limited/ special edition? Because at Engeika's site it says, "This is a limited item and may be out of stock at anytime. We will contact you right after we confirm your order."

Its standard and is in no way part of a limited edition pen even at that budget it seems unlikely while yeah I have spotted numerous limited edition sailot pens close to that price point but its typically in the progear budget at 20K yen

engeika typically labels all of his pens for sale as limited stock because he typically really doesnt have the pen in stock to begin with

If it is stated in the source website other wise then believe it to be limited edition when I say source it's sailor's own website and webshop but even then I typically post much of my findings here even if I dont get hyped over the said pen but people say I should be posting those in the market place but either way sometimes I'm just late to post and by en the said item being a limited edition pen is sold out case in pount was my ink of which limited pen from bungbox which was sold out in 1 day since it was posted in bungbox

I'm still trying to find an answer to whether there's a difference in the writing experience for the 1911 21K nib and the Promenade 14K. Or between the two Sailor 14K nibs.

as I said... Sailor nibs are about there in the place of having totally different personalities

I once held a KoP 21KT it was kinda ok... slighty springy nib but since the nib was B it was smooth-ish, EF (14kt) too feed-backy if not scratchy, MF (14kt) somewhat there but somewhat not there either either what I was feeling feedback or the paper wasnt good I don't know, 14kt (M) so so not as smooth as I would like but smooth enough to write with, (18kt) Naginata Togi M (either it was smoothen before hand but it was smooth that I know of since I was just test writing the pen from a pen pose)

seriously I would like to like the brand but the nibs... that would suit me is hard to find

That's really strange since I find that Sailor nibs have been pretty consistent across the board for me. Probably the most consistent nibs I have ever had out of the box, out of the 20 or so I've had. They all have a personality, sure, but it's more unique to the brand than to each pen. Though the KOP does write fairly differently from the others. Pretty springy, and in general less of the characteristic Sailor feedback, but very smooth. The 21k nibs are pretty consistently slightly smoother than the 14k nibs, and all the 14k nibs write pretty much the same. I don't have as much experience with the steel Sailor nibs [some high ace neos, some clear candies, two regluses] but even those have been pretty consistent between members of the same model.

I think Mottishaw, SBREBrown, and the PenHabit too have all gone and said that Sailors have had exceptionally well tuned nibs that write great out of the box, but the latter two don't like the Sailor feedback so much as they like buttery smoothness.

I don't know really... I want to jump into Sailor's brand but I don't like to pay for a KoP as my first Sailor pen though <_< not to mention its kinda too big for my hands the only pen from Sailor I'm still waiting to get a spin off is the Shiki-oriori in Meigetsu... that will more or less make me say what will be my next move as the nib on that pen only come in MF (sadly ordering from america really prevents anything else from my cash budget, if I could maybe I'll buy from JM maybe... but shipping is... going to be a hassle, and I think he changed policy about address being the same as credit statement says so yeah... can't buy from him either, and either way my credit budget doesnt allow for it's price so I opt to buy locally and pay with cash)
