For all those desperate people looking for the orange one, I have good news for you. Some weeks ago, the official Instagram account of TWSBI replied to a user that they would be available again in the coming months. So don't buy an orange one for a high price and be patient. :D

Hi

Did they say that other colours would be available too or is it just orange?

They were specifically referring to the orange one, because that's what the user asked. But I guess other colors will be available too. As I said before, you can see their answer in a twsbi post in their Instagram account.

Thanks.

Which post? I don't fancy going through all of them

No idea... Someone posted a screenshot on Facebook, in the FPN group a few days ago, maybe it's easier to find it that way. But I would say it's one of the last TWSBI posts.

Oh! I found it. I thought it had been on Instagram, but it had been posted on Twitter! Sorry!

Oh cool! Thanks for that. No mention of others but I'm hoping for a reissue of the blue one.

I think you can still get the blue one directly from TWSBI, I'd double check last time I looked they were still there.

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Which of those two is now? - Alan Parsons Project The Time Machine - Temporalia (Paraphrased)

Thanks! I should have mentioned that I'm not ready to buy right now, but will be in the near future so the reissue is good news for me.

My purple 580AL arrived today! :D

Now I have purple, blue and green. Still no sign of any orange ones available for a reasonable price, so I guess I'll wait for TWSBI to produce another batch. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Huh, where did you get it? I've basically scoured every bit of the internet since I discovered their 580 AL line last month but with no luck. As for the reissue of the Orange, I think it'll be branded Lava with a paler shade of orange. http://www.stilografica.it/pens/twsbi-pens/twsbi-diamond-580-al-lava-demonstrator-lava-4261.htm

I saw that Lava version on that web some time ago. But I think they are referring to the red one. If you take a look at the orange, it looks like red, and the Lava looks like my TWSBI orange. For this reason, I concluded that the Lava will be the red one, which should be out at the end of summer, I guess.

Another reason for supporting my theory is that they have wrong specifications, let's say for example, in the Purple one, stating that it contains green parts. In the Lava one, they say the metal parts are also green...

P. W. Akkerman in Holland has purple in stock; any nib size.

The shipping charge was a bit painful, but I was able to add 2 bottles of ink to the order for the same shipping cost.

Wonder if in years/decades to come having all the colours will be much sought after by collectors

I think it will all depend on how popular TWSBI is in the future.

I'm Really interested in the purple one. If anyone has one that they are ok with giving up for a higher than sale price, I might be interested.

I love these too much to have an incomplete collection. :)

I bought my purple one from P.W. Akkerman, and they are still in stock.
