Parker Penman Sapphire Pif

Hello,

It will take sometime before the ink reaches Amberlea, so please be patient, we will keep you all informed of anything new.

For now I suggest you start fine tuning the nibs and get some good quality paper, because I assure you will experience some extra ordinary Shade and Sheen.

Best regards.

Thanks for this generous offer, I look forward to having the real thing in a pen, after trying so hard to replicate how it looks!

Looks like the real thing!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm sorry, I knew it was the real thing. I should have said, wow, that box is in great shape and it didn't even fade! Thank you for sharing.

I just recently discovered the PPS Co-razy view thread and now this is even more exciting. I even have an unused bottle of Noodler's Liberty's Elysium here!

Thanks so much for your generosity.

I won't get around to even looking at these until the weekend, but the box was cool.

Thanks for doing this, it's going to be a lot of work bottling all the samples!

Okay, my daughter and I are bottling samples today - Look for the email from me that has the list of 16 on this list. Dragon2Java, we have enough to give you a sample too. On the email you need to give me your full name and address. The PM will include paypal instructions to pay for your shipping costs. I'm going to include a sheet of MR paper that was originally used in the CRV and a sheet of Tomoe River paper for you to use.

Just checking? All have been notified and if we didn't get notified by now it means that we didn't get chosen?

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
