Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Tough isn't it . . .

I've got about 60ml of "Brown Dreggs" mostly made up of failed Mocha mixes.

I don't try to mix Mocha any more.

When you see how difficult this ink is to get, you will be happy to pay for PPM.

I've heard a few rumors that this ink is archival. Any thoughts??

Thanks!!

I think so. Do you want a written sample?

I just order one bottle each of light and dark as a birthday present to me. :)

I'll post a writing sample when I'll fill a pen with it.

Happy Birthday! We look forward to seeing it.

The Hakase seems similar to my "Biber's Bistre" mix of Diamine Golden Brown and Lamy Black:

Happy Birthday! We look forward to seeing it.

Thank you Amberlea. :)

I have asked him to ship it on 16th since I have some exams until then. I have this really bad habit of updating the tracking too often and it will distract me from studying. :)

I can send you a letter with both light and dark if you like. May take some time though.

I like the novelty of the ink and its bottle, but the color, I dunno. I'm on the fence.

Not really on the fence... for the price I will say I am not impressed at all. I can see its use as an artist ink.. for sketches, but for normal use as a writing ink, is too light for me.

Your pen looks very much like a Deccan Advocate. In any case it will have an ebonite feed. I suggest you try to heat set the feed using the hot water method. Hold the nib and feed in just boiled water up until the point where they meet the section. Hold for 30 seconds, then take out and press them together with your fingers. Repeat if necessary. Flow should improve after that.

Most Deccan pens I have, if they flow inconsistently, do yield to this treatment, although I will admit most of them flow well out of the box...

On my actual co-razy sheet, the ink is darker than in the picture above. It's certainly usable. But I'd never pay a lot of money for it as Noodler's (FPH) Old Dutch Colony Sepia is a very good substitute.

I'll send in my sheet once I finish my PPM co-razy sheet. I have some more work to do on that one.

Does that mean that the ink is darkening over time?

I am glad to hear that.... with a name like "Dark Sepia".. I will say it is false advertising if it looks like on Amber's writing samples..

I can't imagine what "Light Sepia" looks like..

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
