I got this vintage  sailor 1911 Lady pen . I guess it is similar to Sailor Pro-gear  slim  pen but it is chubby than those lady pens. I was curious so I bought it. When I receive  it I can compare it to my other Pro-gear slim pens I have.

That's a very interesting pen.  When the cap is screwed onto the back it becomes a full sized pen...  very cool. 👍😀

Reminds me of a Professor Gear, Slim Mini except for the threads on the back.

It might be rare because I can't find a picture of one with threads on the finial.

Some Sailors are really hard to find. I’ve been looking for a Sailor Classicus Plus for awhile now, with no luck.

@USG I haven't  received it yet. I may get it in 3-4 days. So I don't have pictures except this one I used from the sellers listing . As soon as I get it I'll post back with details. Hope it takes the same  Sailor converter I have . If it is already have it converter ??? I 'm  not sure . The listing was a short  and It was a well known seller for me . So I went for that.

The nib ...It is vintage . I already have some Sailor profit Slims bought about   8-10 years back  . They are already vintage by the nibs.

No, unfortunately. The one I used belongs to a pen club member. It has a cap marked “sliver” in English on the clip, but no alloy number, a leather covered barrel, and a slim profile. There’s a silver finial on the end of the barrel. I think it’s from the late 1970s or ‘80s.

I have a PGS mini that came with a mini converter, the vintage pen looks like it would take it. The converter is easily available at many stores.

Thanks for all the comments on the Kawecos.  I'm particularly excited about the Bungubox collaboration Sport.

ST DuPont Defi Millenium with medium nib.  A very smooth writer but a bit of a hard starter, even with its hooded nib.

Didn’t even flush it out before using though so will reserve judgement until a few more fills are completed.   Quality seems very high otherwise.

@Inkyways I don't think I've ever seen a Sailor pen that is like that one before (although admittedly I'm not that versed in all their lines).  Nice find!

Now wondering if they came in other colors besides black... my wallet!  My poor poor wallet! :headsmack:

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I didn’t notice that one at first. Do they have a range of nib sizes?

I look forward to all your updates.... 😀👍  it seems as though it's a rare pen because I can't find a pic of one with cap threads on the finial, anywhere.  Cool Find !!!

EDIT: Mystery SolvedI found a pic.  It's called a Sailor Sapporo Mini.   Please post comparison pics of the Sapporo Mini and the Sailor Professional Gear Slim Mini , if that's the other one you have. 😀

Misfit-

Yes on the nib sizes, though the mystery of this auction purchase is that I have no idea what nibs any of the 18 have.  The problem, at least for me, with buying the Bungubox pen has been that it comes with a glass wand.  The going price is about $200 USD.  This is without the wand.

Diamine sunset orange which is fairly close to the pens body to my eyes (but not quite a perfect match).

I'm waiting for confirmation, but I very impulsively bought a 1945 Conway Stewart 55 with a Duro nib. I was saving for an Onoto Scholar; I'll just have to start again.

There was a set of Caran d’Ache Leman pens (fountain and ballpoint matching) on eBay with a reasonable BIN price and I was …reasonable. Yeah, that’s what I’ll tell myself. I watched the listing for a few days hoping someone else would perceive the great value represented and take the initiative to acquire these for themselves, and alas, nobody did, so eventually it fell to me to do so, in a weak moment.

The color combination is one I like, they’re early 2000s production, and maybe my wife will appreciate the ballpoint.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
