I'm not supposed to be buying anything this month, but I couldn't avoid the new colour TWSBI swipe (ice blue). Once I take the horrible clips off, I quite like these, and they're ideal as ink testing pens.

Bah, these cost next to nothing. As you said, you needed the pen, no further legitimation needed. 😉😂

Senzen mentioned in the "Want to try a Sailor" thread in Japan forum that Amazon had some PG Slims for $80 so, yeah, a Shikiori Setsugetsu (Manleaf) is on it's way from Amazon Japan. EF only, unfortunately, so I'm thinking wait and use the Chigaya that came with the Nuts set and use something else in the Nuts.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

A Mabie Todd Swan 1513 eyedropper with over and under feed off eBay. I took a punt on bidding just the starting amount; and as it turned out, nobody else was interested. Should be interesting to see what state it's in when it arrives.

Was that the one with the box? I've picked up a few of these in recent years and they're huge fun to use.

If you mean this one, yes. I'm looking forward to playing with it when it arrives, and with a little luck it won't need much more than a flush to get it working.

That was the one. Don't often see them that old with a box.

Most of mine have needed very little work, but they do like a nice dry ink for sure.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I'll find out next week.

I broke my shopping ban in the middle of October, I bought several inks! I couldn’t resist! Starting a new shopping ban in the middle of a month is hard, so I decided to get a new pen, and start my shopping ban in November!

I got a Pilot Penmanship with an EF nib! The barrel was shattered during the delivery, but the nib was intact, I fitted the nib on my LIGHTIVE and the retailer had shipped a new one! So now I have an EF LIGHTIVE and a new Penmanship! The Penmanship is a dream come true! Nice grip, body and nib! No regrets!

Cheers,

Ian

The Pilot steel EF nib is surprisingly good and I really enjoy it. Nice to see it has other fans! :)

Ferris Wheel Press!

Curious Collaboration with Shagri-La Hotels: Satin Echoes of Eaton Brush Pen (14k nib)
and
Carousel Fountain Pen, Nevermore Noir.

It was Black Friday shopping discounts that tipped the scales toward acquisition. They were too pretty and affordable to pass up.

Waterman 3V?

If so, how's the nib - any flex?

meanwhile enjoy both of them...

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
