'Normal' fountain pens can be distinctively pretty and function in subtly different ways, but which pens out there really break the mold?

 

I'm aware of the Pilot Capless pen, which is a fantastic design, various double ended pens with a cap and nib at each end (one by Italix, one by Edison, one by Mohi) and also rare pens like the Unic Duocolor / Zerollo Duo with two nibs at one end of the pen.

 

I'm interested to see what other clever designs are out there that I have missed - things that make a certain pen function uniquely.

Some vintage pens used to combine a fountain pen and mechanical pencil together.

 

Platinum used to make a retractable fountain pen too, but that was quickly withdrawn as Pilot threatened to sue.

 

Edison have interesting filler mechanisms like bulb filler, pneumatic filler, pump filler.

I's say the humble Lamy Safari really broke the mold with its introduction in 1980. To a lesser extent the Lamy 2000 in 1966.
