Sailor Kobe #49 Kitano Olive Green

It's quite a nice dark yellow green. I think many muddy-green lovers would like this one too.

Nice shading. However I'm disappointed with the water resistance. Water obliterates it. I expected a better water resistance from it, like Tokiwa-matsu, which leaves enough blue trace to be legible.

Comparison

Kitano compared with Montblanc Daniel Defoe, Sailor Tokiwa-matsu, R&K Alt-goldgrün and Sailor Miruai.

I think Kitano is greener than Defoe. Tokiwa-matsu is more yellow than those two (maybe with a tint of blue?). Alt-goldgrün is much lighter and yellower.

I struggled to correct the colour distorted by my crazy scanner. To try to show the colours more faithfully, I took a photo of the comparison as well:

This is one of my favourite Kobe inks, nearly as nice as #14. Not one of their big sheen inks, but has a subtle gold shimmer that gives it individual personality. It looks especially beautiful in a wet-writing vintage Onoto, on cream handmade paper. So nice that I bought 3 bottles & sent samples out to at least 8 people - enabler that I am :-)

Yes, dear Lgsoltek, Daniel Defoe is a special colour: right between Kitano and Tokiwa-Matsu! ... I fear that there will be no substitute...

Love the ghostie!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
