Any company that wants me to register before I can see their pens and pricing gets a fail in my book.

I can't answer your question until I test drive one of these beauties.

They are slightly out of my price range.

Annoying site and the pens are not my taste. I prefer the GvFC pens.

Thank you for sharing though. It is good to highlight small companies.

+1 I refuse to go to a site that forces you to provide them with a means to provide you with unsolicited emails.

I agree fully about the registration, but to be fair, that registration is for touchofmodern.com who is just a vendor of various design products. The Vermont Pen Co. appears to be at http://www.vermontpen.com and that site does not need registration.

But, neither my style nor certainly my price range.

I always see these pens "discounted" (still super expensive on sale) on luxury sites like Gilt.

I've questioned their reputability and ever since I've been into FPs, this is only the first time I've come across something about them.

Why would anybody buy a gold fountain pen from a reputable maker of solid tradition when you can get a brass equivalent from a complete unknown for the same price?

I wish them the best. They will need it.

Wow!

That site made my head hurt.

I guess they don't have to sell too many pens at that price to make money.

There are a lot of other things I could spend that money on if I had that much "disposable" funds on hand, for instance a few Montblanc pens from the fifties or earlier or a few pens from Francis.

You could buy a fine wrist watch for that sort of money.

And a fine pen to go with it...

And a nice suit to wear while using the pen...

And a Coke...

I don't know the Vermont Pen Company and their pens. Neither do any of us, it seems.
Does this discussion even belong in this forum?
