Can I Convert Mb Fp To Ipad Stylus

I have a lovely MB Fountain Pen, but I never use it any more as I work entirely paperless. I would like to convert it to a stylus for my iPad; does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how would I go about doing it?

 

(PS I'm aware that MB have recently released two new styluses, but I don't want to buy a new product, just convert my existing one)

I don't believe FPs can be converted. Only RBs and Fineliners pens and only in the StarWalker family. The 2 styluses you have in mind is the Extreme StarWalker ScreenWriter and the e-Refill (meant for the Galaxy Note series smartphone) which is interchangeable with any standard StarWalker RB and FL by removing the grip section.

Have you considered just selling the MB? If it's in decent condition you'll get enough to buy more than one stylish stylus, and still have money left.

It technically wouldn't be convertible unless you had some major custom work done. As mentioned above, there is a StarWalker stylus/screenwriter available and there is also a Cruise line version but I believe that may just be for the Samsung devices. It would be worthwhile to sell the FP and just buy a stylus you'll use!

Dip your nib into liquid rubber. When the rubber hardens, use it as a stylus. Likely, it will ruin your

Monteblanc fountain pen, but being paperless, you won't miss it. Or buy a stylus.

Don't sell. After 30-50 years, you will have history on the pen which I don't recall you saying what it is.

 

Buy a StarWalker Screenwriter and you can later convert it to a rollerball or fineliner and add another pen to your collection.

Most eBay buyers aren't too bothered!

 

Although if you get good photos showing serial numbers etc then that should appease the more serious buyers.

 

eBay buyers can be stupid and pay over the odds so you stand a good chance of a good price.

Yes, you can convert your fountain pen to a digital stylus. In fact you can do a ballpoint and rollerball pen into a digital stylus too, without damaging your precious Montblanc pen.

 

I bought a pack of Screen Writer refills and the Extreme e-Starwalker. The Refill discs can be made to fit the point of the fountain pen without any modifications to it. The Fountain Pen needs to be empty and dry, thats all, then writing with it on an ipad goes as smoothly as on paper.

I tried for some time to find anything on this matter, but it seems the world is divided between traditional paper writing and digital writing. There is no in-between. Either you use a fountain pen on paper or you use a digital stylus on e-devices.

 

It´s like film camera and digital camera. A divided world.

 

But since Montblanc is unmatched in craftsmanship and style, I wanted to challenge this topic. I wanted to use my nice fountain pens on ipad, because there was just no nice stylus out there. And I was able to incorporate the best of the both worlds.

 

Now I have both paper and Ipad and Montblanc pens, and it is excellent. No need to use inferior styluses when I got the real thing, and it´s dual standard. I can fill the fountain pen with ink and write, or I can put the disc on and write on Ipad. Since I have many MB FP:s, I can enjoy paper and digital at the same time with two different pens. Great stuff!
