Can't Contact Goulet Pens & Can't Place An Order. Is It Just Me?

Folks, during this update period, I have placed two orders and received on time two wonderful Omas Ogliva Alba pens and about ten different bottles of ink. Received both orders via 2 day Priority Mail; perfect experience!

GOOD NEWS!!!!! Just got to experience Goulet's new web Site with my Mac and with Firefox and it worked smoothly and lightning FAST. To say the least, i could finally place an order with them. Just because i am curious i went back and fired up SAFARI on the Mac and guess what? IT ID NOT WORK. Site was frozen, stuck! Same as before. Apparently there is some incompatibility between the site and SAFARI.

I am being doing OK on Safari recently. Try deleting your Goulet cookies and using Safari again.

Yes I'm using Chrome for everything else as well and it cured a good deal of issues I was having with other sites. Chrome might seem a little bloated at first but it winds up saving lots of time in functionality, especially cloud based and VDI platforms.

Mozilla and Chrome working fine for their site. I must say the initial front page (index page) would be much faster with smaller images. The first flash image is a killer to load for older computers.

Please email us if you continue to have issues. Each person's issue requires a bit of troubleshooting - browser version, account information, etc - there isn't always a one-size-fits-all remedy. I have to dig into each individual situation, so email works best. Thanks! ;)

Honestly now:

During this dev cycle : how many times did you hear it from your developers:

"Clear your cache"

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that sentence ... well I'd have a crapload of nickels.

I think I'm one of those who got off easily. There were a few products that disappeared for a while, and my reviews haven't posted, but that website itself hasn't been a problem on any device. My only concern is the slowness to load pages, though I have hopes that will be solved.

I managed to go on there and join InkDrop. :D

There is a bug with addresses, so the only way to get my UK home address to work was to delete the alternative US one that I use during summer.

I think it's something to do with the fact that if you have 2 different shipping addresses, and one of them doesn't have "line 2" completed, it transposes the "line 2" details of the other address. So my UK home address had the 2nd line of my US address in it. I couldn't edit it, so I had to delete it. Then it took me several goes to get it to show me a shipping page so I could select the shipping method. Persistence seems to work.

Just wanted to say that I bought a bottle of ink from Goulet last week and all was smooth. Their pages are a little glitchy and slow to load but nothing awful -- just unfortunate compared to how great their site was before.

Correct - That bug still exists with addresses. I could only proceed with the home address. But then it got hung up on "place order" - I've contacted Brian and Rachel. It hung yesterday and today as well.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
