The Extreme Collection in leather goods is looking nice.

Would like to buy the MB Extreme smartphone etui.

The Extreme-Collection is looking as a textile fibre.

So did anyone made experiences with the DURABILITY ???

A smartphone case will be used so many times a day...

I currently have the Extreme cover for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for about 10 days now. It is very well made and feels very durable and looks like it will protect my smartphone without any concerns.

Also getting the e-refill this weekend to use on my StarWalker Extreme fineliner.

I absolutely love the new Extreme leather products. It does worry me though what they are actually made of. The outside is labeled something like "leather in woven design" but I didn't know leather could be done like that carbon fiber look. Also on one of the products descriptions, it says the lining is made of synthetic leather but the other similar products do not have the same description.

I did hear one of the spokes people saying that the Extreme leather line is made to be very durable, scratch/scuff resistant, etc. But again, I worry that it isn't real leather. The language barrier sometimes causes translation issues into English.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

I believe is leather. Per Montblanc verbiage about the Extreme leather .... "it is made of high performance leather, crafted to provide unique abrasion resistance, water and heat repellence ... modern look via its carbon fiber texture".

I particularly purchased this Note 4 cover and the 6CC Wallet for this reason and hope it will hide the wear and tear of a typical full grain leather material.

I'm really interested in the wallet but every picture is different. The Montblanc site pics show substantial texture and an obvious design. Other pictures I've seen just look like a black wallet, probably due to lighting. So how does it really look in person? Is it a noticeable and cool design?

I saw this in a shop yesterday but didn't handle it. In my opinion it looks very good. It was priced at £210 in The Pen Shop. I understand it's not the same thing but hope this helps.

This is a lovely wallet! It was my first one and I use it the most. Wonderful sheen in the leather.

Try this link. The top part of the page has close up of the texture of the Extreme leather. It smells like leather, feels smooth with a touch of the texture. Hope this helps.

My 6CC Wallet is in but I am waiting for the e-refill to come in this week before I go and pick both items up.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
