Soft Mint - Diamine

This color is really high on my hate list. Not the first, but near the top. It's nightmare. If one day you'll want to make me suffer, close me in a room painted in this / similar color.

I like that color but I wouldn't want to write with it. Maybe a pen color? My ex's father had a bathroom in his house that was that color - the walls, the tile, the sink, the toilet... Talk about a nightmare. They had another bathroom that was all pink. Eww...

I like this mint green color personally. I actually have a really cute flowy high/low skirt that is similar in color, maybe a bit lighter...hmmm maybe I should wear it this weekend, I'll pair it with my light pink cardigan. That would make me a walking nightmare for you probably. Good thing I am on another continent! ;)

But I understand how you feel. I feel that way about some colors too. I think it has a lot to do with some negative personal experiences...i.e. I HATE being in a room painted all yellow or all red. HATE. Really Hate. I have a friend whose kitchen is a dark bright bold red, and I hate being in that room....I love the friend though, so I just go to her living room, lol. Yellow walls give me severe migraines like an anvil has fallen on my head. I would NEVER paint my babies' nursery yellow. Soft blue, or lavender, or pale pink, yes; but never yellow.

So even though I personally like this color, I want you to know I get it. That strong dislike we have for certain colors, scents, places, or things, we all have those for reasons. (Another extreme hate on my list: tie-dye clothing. A horrid childhood outfit I was forced to wear. Pictures have been torn up, shredded and/or burned. lol) ;)

I love this colour, but only if it's for quick writing. I think I'd get sick of it reeeeal quick if I were to use it to, say, write an 8 page essay or something. But this would be a lovely colour to use to edit manuscripts or to use for commentary on someone else's writing. I nice, soft colour that isn't as strict or as severe as a red, when used for corrections.

I am the tarot reading, bookworm, whiskey drinking, witchcraft practicing, old fashioned writing, aunt Beasty in my family and I love it. Tarot readings for sale or trade, especially ink as I've lost all of my pen stuff from a bad burglary last year. And I need penpals! Anyone interested, please PM me!

This has been the most entertaining ink review for a while.

I, too, am not a fan of the ink ... but for the passions that it generates, I love it! It's a bit like Donald Trump – it sure does polarise opinions.

Cheers,

David.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
