I am not sure. I'd take it or a MB boutique for a more informed opinion.

Seeing the pen directly makes a big difference.

I had the same issue where I got 2 or three Starwalker ballpoints from MB boutique they all had your exact markings "Germany Metal Pix." Then I got a Starwalker that said "Made in Germany" MB boutique said not authentic seller said he got in touch with who he bought the pen from and was informed that the "Made in Germany" is the new marking under the clip. In the end I returned the pen but I'm pretty sure that your markings are authentic. Go directly to an MB boutique.

Thanks, But The spring on The front cone? is normal that come out when i Take off The rifill? or The spring should stay in The pen And come out only The rifill?

They normally do not come out but that is not to say it couldn't come out. I have a classique from the West Germany era and every part of the pen can be disassembled including the spring coming out. Most newer MB pens are not made this way but a previous user could have pulled it out or something likewise that has caused it to come loose.

I agree that it is hard to tell from the pictures. It would be easier if they were clearer and an in-person visual would be best. If the star is perfect in person then that's good but the picture makes it look a bit warped. The engraving around the clip ring is also iffy but the camera may just make it look different.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

This particular Starwalker pen is the most difficult one to identify as authentic or counterfeit. I would follow the advice to take it to a Mb boutique and ask them.

Having said that, the clip looks the right shape, it's properly marked and filled in underneath at the end, plus the serial number looks like an authentic one, in the right font and it is in the correct position.

I would say there is a better than average chance that your pen is authentic.

thanks to all.

the only question that remains concerns the spring, the inside of the bottom as it should be in ballpoint pens? rests the spring and then just refill or there must be some other mechanism?

Yes, the spring should be in the bottom or grip of the pen. When the barrel is screwed onto the grip, the refill should twist in and out when you twist the barrel.

Is that what you were asking?

The twist movement is ok, And it seems a quality movement,

soft and with the click decided at the end. The spring I am talking about is the one that goes in the tip of the refill. the spring is not engaged in any way in the lower part of the pen. is normal?

The spring needs to go onto the bottom of the refill then you put it into the grip.

It must be in the right position if the twist mechanism works.

If the spring isn't on the bottom of the refill inside the grip, the spring mechanism won't work.

My spring stays inside the grip when I open my pen. I can shake it but it doesn't come out. Yours does. I don't think it matters as long as the twist action works

I have never had a spring come out of any of my three Starwalkers. Edited by meiers

OK. there is' something wrong then in my. inside the tip of the pen and not 'present any mechanism, I have to put the spring that stays in place once inserted into the refill.

but once removed the tip of the pen, this is is empty inside, and the spring comes off along with the refill.

That is what first struck me, seeing the spring in the photo as I thought it should not come away like that. It doesn't mean the pen is not authentic, there could be plenty of reasons why this has happened.

The "mechanism" is in the top half of the pen. The mechanism is what turns to retract the refill. The only thing in the bottom of the pen is the spring.

Hello everyone. Today I took my pen from the dealer in my town. L looked at and checked and told me that for him is genuine. I also told you how to say some of you, that the fact o The spring in The cone-grip Comes out in Not important..becauseThere may be many factors that have led to the replacement of the spring .. maybe has been lost and replaced the original .. or had broken down and replaced the entire lower section of the pen.He at The end repeat that is authentic for him

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
