146 Feed Replacement

Recommended Posts

Just got my hands on a 146 that I think is from the 1970's that needs a new feed. I purchased it used with no box or paperwork. Can anyone suggest where I can get a new feed? Thanks

If you're not too worried about keeping it to its original specs, I'd just take it to a Montblanc dealership. for a service and get a modern plastic feed.

they'll make the pen look new as well.

This raises a question for me, and pardon my ignorance. Is there an advantage to an ebonite feed over plastic?

Easier to set the nib, which is a huge advantage IMHO.

I've both ebonite feed and plastic feed 146's. In my experience the ebonite provides more controlled flow, the plastic is near too wet on many papers. Just my 2 cents

"how do I know what I think until I write it down?"
