I'm surprised by your experience with the ink. I have a bottle of this ink and found that it bled and feathered like crazy on almost every paper I tried it on. It did dry REALLY fast and was totally waterproof, but I really couldn't see using it for anything really.

 

I wonder if the ink was remixed to perform better...

I have been using this ink for a little while now and though it looks a deep, rich, dark blue through the bottle and in the bottle and as it flows from the nib, it seems to dry a dull, dark grey that varies depending on the paper from a dark slate to a medium charcoal.

 

In all the pictures posted online from reviews, it appears on paper as blue as it does in the bottle.

 

I am using a well washed-out Lamy Safari with medium nib on various papers.

Yes, it flows well, dries well, doesn't run or wash, but why doesn't mine dry as blue? At best I get a blue-ish grey?

The sample I've tried is a very dark blue that has a touch of chalkiness to it. But I would not call it grey.

Found it to be rather wet/runny... my Parker Vector with a fine nib felt more like a medium.

Kept leaving blotches in the nib when I opened or closed it, too... Has anyone else experienced this?

 

The colour and the waterproofness leave nothing to be desired... Full marks there...

 

P.s: I've used that pen for nearly 2 years with Parker Quink with no such issues...

This is the ink that I use to write checks so I always have 1 of my pens filled with it. My checks are light blue & the paper, pen, & ink work good together. I have ordered a 2nd bottle of this ink.
