Why not star with a pen that has been around for 80 years ? Load up a Parker Vacumatic with Noodler's

Heart of Darkness, and write like twentieth century middle class to a friend / relative / lover who is traveling

around the world. A soldier at war or a young woman attending school in Europe.

 

It can be a lot of fun.

Once again, thank you very much everyone. The forum has truly been an invaluable resource for my fountain pen questions. It looks like I will be sticking to one fountain pen filled with iron gall ink for my journaling needs. Since cleaning iron gall ink ridden pens doesn’t sound as terrifying anymore, I may go with some popular mentions: ESS Registrar's Ink and R&K Salix. I was looking into a Parker 51, so maybe that will be the right pen for the job.

 

My goal is to match in Neurology. So hopefully, as long as I don't have any genetic predispositions or a freak accident, I can work at making sure my neural functions are intact way down the line
