Well, it may be called Elysee, but is certainly not the ST Dupont Elysee.

I have seen a very cheap balpoint pen Elysee meant as handouts, but that was totally different.

the nib shape reminds me of Aurora Kona but that's not it.

It is probably a nameless pen meant for commercial promotions. Any real Brand pen would be marked on the nib.

Sometimes these nameless pens can write quite OK.

Your pen is an Elysee pen. You must be careful not to confuse this with the Elysee series of pens by S.T. Dupont as they are not the same. Elysee is a pen company that went out of business in 2000. Elysee pens were "Jewels that Write" per the Elysee Pen Company, and as the owner of several Elysee pens, including those in my avatar, I can say that these pens are beautiful jewels. You can read about some Elysee pens on Pen Hero's Elysee Pen site, the main page for which can be accessed at http://penhero.com/PenGallery/Elysee/Elysee.htm; via the hyperlinks you can read about some of the high-end Elysee pens including those which are included in my avatar as well as see many lovely pictures of Elysee pens.

Your pen is one of the low-end Elysee pens, many of which are available on eBay, for example, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Elysee-Vintage-Rare-Dark-Red-Marbled-Touch-Germany-Made-Fountain-Pen-/121119484170?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c3348a90a and http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELYSEE-for-elegance-75-Burgundy-w-gold-plated-trims-rapidograph-pen-/190703860473?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c66d5faf9. Your pen is not a nameless commercial pen and it is not a pen for commercial promotions! Many folks do not realize that ALL the pen makers do special runs for companies, even adding company logos upon request -- this includes Parker, Waterman, Cross, Montblanc, and Caran D'Ache, to name a few.

One of the great things about Elysee pens is that by changing the end section, the fountain pen could become a rollerball, and using the pencil insert made to fit Elysee pens only (available for 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm leads), the ballpoint pen can become a pencil.

You can read more about Elysee pens on FPN in the topic "Anyone Heard of Elysee Fountain Pens?", https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/165455-anyone-heard-of-elysee-fountain-pens/?hl=%2Belysee+%2Bpens as well as see additional pictures of Elysee pens. My contributions to this topic are on the second page along with pictures of several of my Elysee pens.

You can read more about Elysee pens at Solo Plumas http://soloplumas.blogspot.com/search/label/10%20-%20Elysee -- depending on the languages that you speak/read, you may need to translate the page.

So that you will know, Elysee pens are REAL BRAND PENS. Not all pen makers put embelishments on their nibs. However, as you will find in your reading about Elysee pens and in the pictures that you will find in these readings, high-end Elysee pens do have embelishments on their nibs.

So, to sum it all up, although low-end which for Elysee pens was NOT cheap, you have a nice pen, not a cheap throw away pen. In addition, since Elysee pens are no longer made, your pen is a collector's item.

Oh wow thanks a lot, so many links to read. Didn't know the bit about changing the end section to become a rollerball. Really informative post, I look forward to using this pen :D

Would you happen to know where I can buy a converter for this pen.

There are some rollerball sections that will fit your pen currently for sale on eBay in case you would like to add a little versatility to your pen. : )

As an Elysee fan, I hope you enjoy your pen. I have several--almost all relatively low-end--and I find the nibs on them to be among my favorites.

And with regard to Elysee producing commissioned fountain pens for companies and other organzations, I have one that's got the University of Iowa emblem on the clip. I'm a Michigan State grad myself, but the UI pen was mint and too cheap to pass up.

Elysee are great pens, both steel and gold nibs. I would highly recommend them. A great shame they went out of business - there is no equivalent today that comes to mind.

The second edition of your book is amazing. I have very few Elysee pens but after reading the pdf I will dig them out. I bought the pens in Joon New York but since then I haven't found Elysee pens anywhere. Their Limited Editions are superb. One question is it possible to buy your book in print form?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
