Vintage Platignum Petite

I bought a Platignum Petite which arrived today, I took a few pictures:

I've always been quite curious about Platignum pens. How's your experience with the wetness of the feed?

This one I haven't used yet, I will flush with water then try it.

My other Platignums, shown on Flickr: The Studio 5 - starts dryish for about a single letter then flows reasonably, good at getting a varying thickness with different pressures. Red barrel silver cap - needs a bit of a gentle shake to start then flows nice and wet. Blue barrel silver cap needs a new nib but possibly similar to red one. Platignum Man From UNCLE pen - very, very difficult dry start but once going has a nice wet flow.

My latest just arrived in the post, a Platignum Bijou, similar size and design to the Petite but gold colour metal parts. Needs a sac replacement though.

I got the Petite up and running, it puts down letters like a Parker Jotter. Slightly scratchy from nib wear though.

Some samples. The new nib mentioned is from a Tesco £1.10 fountain pen, just the metal part not the whole feed. The pencil is a Bijou. They all started easier today after previously checking them yesterday. Bear in mind I only have a cameraphone.
