Lamy Safari At Staples (Uk)

I picked up a blue Lamy Safari for £5 in Staples last week. I couldn't find any other Safaris on the regular shelves, so wondered if they were discontinuing them. Definitely worth a look in the clearance section, though.

I don't think Staples UK stocks Lamy any more ...

 

Another source currently (Jan 2013) is WH Smith online - I certainly couldn't get the same prices in my local shop. Not for £5 for a Safari, but good discounts on Al-Star in purple (15%) blue (25%) or silver (40%), black Studio (40%). Also selected pens in other makes.

I picked up what they had left in the Sunderland store a few days ago, they had some for £5 that were £4 at the tills because the Sunderland store is one of the ones being closed. Oddly though, before these cut price ones appeared, I'd never noticed them on the shelves as a regular item, just the overpriced Parker sets.
