Looking For A Thick Felt/thin Marker Writing Pen

I'm looking for a thicker felt pen or a very thin marker , thinner than http://content.etilize.com/900/1021490239.jpg but not too thin. I like em bold. Maybe 1mm.

I also need it to be archival.

The problem with pigment liners in general is that I can't write on a slant. I write with a fountain pen grip almost all the time, and pigment liners don't work well at that angle.

So to recap:

1) Thin , black marker

2) Archival

3) Good for writing/charts/note taking

Thanks

Hmm not sure if this is what you're after but take a look at the Platinum Preppy Refillable Highlighter or Platinum Preppy Refillable Marker. The big benefit of course is you can choose your ink so you can have a choice of archival inks, either can be converted to an eyedropper and at $2.95 they are inexpensive enough to carry more then one so each can have a different ink colour. you can also purchase replacement tips for each type of pen as well.

Highlighters can be seen here: http://www.gouletpens.com/Platinum_Preppy_Highlighter_s/887.htm

Markers can be seen here: http://www.gouletpens.com/Platinum_Preppy_Marker_s/888.htm

Edit: No affiliation with Goulets - posted their site as it is the one I knew where to find them at.

The OHTO Graphic Liner (meant to emulate a pigment liner but dispenses ink differently) in 0.5 or 1.0 might work well for you: http://www.jetpens.com/Ohto-Graphic-Liner-Needle-Point-Drawing-Pens/ct/1506 (no affiliation to seller). I haven't used those sizes and personally prefer traditional pigment liners, but I can vouch for the archival and waterproof qualities of the ink.

Hope that helps.

There should be no problem with leakage from either the Preppy Marker or Highlighter as long as you follow the easy instructions in the video regarding the application of a wee bit of silicone grease and an o-ring. The procedure is identical to that used to turn the $3.95 Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen into an Eyedropper. I've been using the fountain pens extensively for my pen and ink drawings with no leakage at all. The video can be found here:

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
