So far for me it's diluted Akkerman #10 (to finish off a fill in a Parker Vector -- now that pen is being flushed out); and Skrip Blue (in a Parker 51 Vac). Didn't have quite enough of the diluted Akkerman to finish off morning pages.

Later, I have to write some bills (even though they technically won't go out till tomorrow because of Labor Day) and then it will probably be either diluted Noodler's Bay State Blue (in a Noodler's Charlie) or Noodler's Kung Te Cheng (in a regular resin Noodler's Konrad). Beyond that, who knows....

Lots of dependencies there... IMO the biggest dependency is the cotton content of the paper. Paper quality is also a key factor. I find it darkening really fast on cheap paper.. and slower on coated paper (ex. clairefontaine).. It goes from a bright purple to what you see on Mehandiratta post.

It will eventually go to almost black on any paper.... but depending on paper, it can take from 1 week to a month or more... Iron Gall oxidizes over time. The more it oxidize (darkens) the more permanent will become.

 

I am no expert.. just a heavy user...
