I think if I can find a gunmetal with a B nib for that price, it'll decline into my pocket. :hmm1:

Who could not love that nib...

That nib is gorgeous! I have an M nib. Is it possible to have it modified?

:hmm1: IMHO maybe not. Even buying a new, factory, Broad section may not get you this size. I have 2 or 3 and all are slightly different. The one pictured having the largest tip.

I particularly wanted the coral orange Carene (love that look) which is no longer available new. I saw some eBay auctions asking $599 which I thought was crazy. I was able to snag it new in box, never inked for $167 which I felt was somewhat of a fair price if not a deal.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Yes, a very nice pen. The colour is Coral Reef. That would be NY Monty with the sky high price.

It can still be purchased as NOS, mint S/H or used on the great auction site where they appear fairly frequently. I have just carried out a search and found a number of such pens.

I was able to snatch a NOS rose gold Meridians with a medium-nib for EUR130 just before Christmas. I had the nib exchanged for a stub that actually turned out to be a medium stub. The shop was making place for newer pens... me not complaining.

So that was a good ending to an otherwise fairly bad (personally) year.

Glad to hear you had a good ending to the year and I wish you a better year this year!

Are stub nibs sold separately? And would they be available in the US?

Yes, well certainly here in the UK. You should contact a local Waterman dealer. If you buy a new pen with any other nib the dealer can return it to NRW for an exchange FOC. You just have to wait a while. There's a UK ebay seller currently offering stubs for £45 + delivery. They are £65 + delivery most other places if not more.

The free exchange takes about a week or less here in the Netherlands. Bought it on Wednesday befor Christmas, got a phone call that it had arrived on the Thursday after Christmas.

For older pens your shop could order a new section-with-nib.

Or have a look on Amazon, Our FPN-member Lewertowski has an Amazon-shop (penseller from France) where he offers the whole Parker and Waterman range including new sections. I have not compared lately, but his prices used to be very good.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
