Looking For Spiral Bound Notebook With Dot Grid, Or Blank Pages

Hi All!

I am looking for a medium sized notebook, spiral bound on the left side, that has either a dot grid, or totally blank interior pages. A Rhodia Reverse Book with dot grid pages would be ideal, or a blank Webbie that was spiralbound instead for example. Fountain pen friendly with whiter, rather than cream paper....

Is this something I am going to have to make or is there something out there that you can suggest? Buying it would ensure I got it a lot sooner LOL.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

WANTED: LAMY Studio Violet, LAMY Safari Orange

You may want to look at these:

I have tried the lined version only, but I suspect the paper would be similar in the dotted ones. The paper takes most inks with no bleed through. The paper is just a tad more absorbent so the ink line will not be as crisp, but it is so minimal and mostly unnoticeable unless one chooses to analyze it on close inspection against paper like midori (which is the most excellent paper of all). The paper has a very nice "soft" feel against the nib and is very pleasant to write on.

I believe the paper isn't really cream but not a bright white either.

EDIT to add that the customer service is outstanding! No affiliation; just a very happy repeat customer.

Rhodia is all I can think of. Goulet and, I think, Gumwater will do special orders if you find something in the catalogue you want.

RHODIA NO. 16 TOP WIREBOUND NOTEBOOK - 5.875 X 8.25, DOT GRID - ORANGE

I've been searching for the same white whale... I've found my perfect notebook from ONLY ONE PLACE, gouletpens.com. It's hard to find them even when on their site but its item number is #R16503, heres a direct link

http://www.gouletpens.com/r16503/p/R16503

Its my favorite notebook because its the ONLY one I've found that meets my criteria:

1. wire bound (i don't like holding back the bunched up paper in staple bounds once you're half way through a notebook)

* top bound isn't a must but I do prefer it as it's less obstructive to a page when folded over

2. perforated pages (i love fountain pens so much I have to write but I also scan ALOT of notes for future searching & reference)

3. fountain pen friendly ink (Rhodia is still my number one paper for fountain pen writing)

4. dot grid (after using dots I've never wished to go back to traditional grid lines)

I don't understand the supply of this book, It's Rhoda so why is goulet the only place I can order it from...!?

Fabriano makes an A5 side-double-wirebound blank notebook. It also comes in grid and lined versions, but not dots.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
