congrats on a fantastic pen  thanks for the review

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

1906/3000 here! I've had this pen for six months now. It took me two months to ink it, it was an unexpected present. The cost blew my mind.

I used to believe that above a few hundred dollars, you were only paying for bling, but using this pen is an amazing experience.

The pen is heavy. I was not used to writing unposted. The reality is that this pen fits in my hand so well it becomes alive. The weight is not tiring, writing feels effortless.

I did use this pen for five days at the office, writing 12+ hours/day. If the pen weren't so expensive, I would take it to the office every day. It becomes part of my hand, but that could be dangerous, especially as I wind up walking around with the pen in my hand. I have had a kid knock a special pen out of my hand, and it took surgery by Mike-it-Work to save the pen.

So the Hitchcock lives on my desk at home. Usually with Mystery Blue, but tonight with Kon-Peki, on a Black and Red legal pad. (The piston is amazingly efficient and easy-flushing no problem, not like some other pens where it can be pretty frustrating)

It is a very smooth, I do think about what this would be like as a Minuskin 1 mm stub.

I have yet to ink mine. Really considering it, which ink is your preference?

This was written 10 years ago but as I was curious to see some Hitchcock reviews I looked it up.
I have so many pens and like many collectors after a while it’s time to keep a few favorites.

Your review was dead on as I really see this pen as a masterpiece to use, and I have used all my pens over time, but this one always returns as my favorite in all respects you describe. Shape, weight, size, feel, amazing nib.

Actually all these attributes are not that obvious for Mont Blanc, but they did hit the jackpot on this one.

Thanks.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
